MANCHESTER UNITED fans are worried Harry Maguire could stay at Leicester.
The Red Devils are chasing the England international, however, Manchester United and Leicester are miles apart on Maguire’s price tag.
Reports last week claimed United were closing in on the 26-year-old, who has told the Foxes he wants to leave.
However, United told Express Sport this week that a deal isn’t agreed and a medical isn’t scheduled.
Maguire played in Leicester’s pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe on Tuesday night.
And United fans took to social media to voice their concerns over the Maguire deal.
“Maguire to United reportedly a ‘done deal’?” One fan said.
“The fact that he’s just playing for Leicester against Scunthorpe doesn’t really speak in this statement’s favour.”
Another added: “Harry Maguire not having a medical at United tomorrow that’s for sure!”
“Maguire that reports said leave Leicester training camp to complete his United medical in 48hrs is all of a sudden in Leicester bench in the ongoing game wow,” fumed another fan.
A fellow United fan said: “Wait how can Maguire be playing in Leicester’s first pre season friendly but having a united medical at the same time?”
“Maguire on his farewell 45 minute tour, class move by United allowing his Leicester fans to get one last look at a World Class CB,” joked another supporter.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted the Red Devils will sell defenders if they land Maguire this summer.
“Of course, there’s a limit of players,” the Norwegian said.
“Whoever performs will be part of the team and whoever doesn’t has a fight to get back in.
“There’s been loads of speculation but I can’t really say anything. We’ll work to find a relationship with the ones we’ve got.”
